Ever wondered what goes into building a world-class, award-winning pool? Here you can see the process step-by-step, and watch a backyard transform into a work of art.

1. After the plans have been completed and the site has been surveyed, the pool is staked out for excavation.

2. The next step is excavation. The pool is dug, and the sides are machine-compacted for increased durability.

3. The pool is then further reinforced with steel beams, and the internal plumbing is installed.

4. The pool then receives gunite structuring. Laguna Pools uses a minimum 6" thick shell, and our shells exceed the NSPI's standards for pressure handling.

5. With the foundation in place, the next step is to apply the tile and coping, as well as any boulder formations and waterfalls..

6. The pool's external plumbing system in now put in place.

7. Now the decking is constructed around the pool.

8. Almost done! The pool's lighting and electrical systems are installed, leaving only...

9. The pool is plastered*, the site is cleaned up, and the pool is ready to be filled.
